Design Workshops
At Team Human, we offer One-to-One Design Workshops as a focused, collaborative stage within the product design process. Our workshops put key stakeholders and us together in a room to explore an idea, understand a challenge, and identify the most valuable next steps before significant time or resources are invested.
Each workshop is designed to create space for deeper discussions, faster key decision-making, and more detailed exploration of a product opportunity.
Workshops are a collaborative process; the goal is to produce assets and resources that help the design team remain aligned with the key stakeholders’ vision throughout the design process, while also highlighting realities to make sure expectations are realistic and achievable, early on in the project.
In the early stages of concept generation and development, teams often have untested assumptions and technical possibilities, founder business goals, and end-user needs that have not yet been aligned. A structured workshop helps bring these elements together by discovering what questions remain unanswered and what needs to be tested and researched.
Influenced by human-centred design principles, Team Human focuses on understanding how people are likely to use, understand, and interact with a product. We consider usability, feedback, cognitive effort, error prevention, and how design can support natural human behaviour rather than expecting users to adapt to a new, unnecessarily complex product. From this, we set strong foundations for future design and development work.
The assets produced during a workshop are gathered and synthesized into a design brief.
Each workshop is tailored to the project; first, we gather and review any relevant information available. This preparation allows the workshop to focus on decision-making rather than information gathering. We focus on:
Understanding the challenge.
Defining the goals.
Mapping users and behaviours.
Reviewing potential constraints.
Exploring ideas through sketches, discussion, reference materials, journey maps, simple prototypes, and structured exercises, we generate and refine potential solutions.
Prioritising opportunities by identifying the concepts and features most likely to deliver value.
Defining a clear set of next actions at the workshop conclusion
Join us at our studio in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow for a one-to-one design workshop and discover the potential of your next product, service, or business idea.
The outputs often become the foundation for concept development, prototyping, usability testing, technical feasibility studies, service design activities, or product development planning.
By creating a shared understanding early, we can make decisions with greater confidence by reducing the risk of developing solutions that do not align with user needs, technical realities, or commercial goals.
At Team Human, One-to-One Design Workshops provide a practical way to transform ideas into a structured design direction, helping projects move forward with clarity, focus, and evidence-based decision-making.
